I had to read an article today for my cultural anthropology class about Chinese table manners. If a kid leaves a mess of rice grains on the table- the parents scold the child by saying that every grain of rice will turn into a pockmark on their future spouse’s face. How to NOT end a fight..

Is it really so terrible that I’m genuinely upset that all of the girls a year below me that I HATED last year all are going to my dream school next year? That is, they got accepted when I didn’t. And I’m extremely bitter about it. It’s become a ‘con’ on my UNC list that I’m making. One step closer to design school.
